Hi guys, Just thought I should intorduce myself as I have been lurking around here for a few days. I have been interested in minis for a fair few years now, but never owned one so I figure it's about time to get one. The closest I have come so far is an AH sprite (yeah I know they are completly different).

I currently own a 48 anglia panel van hot rod, a 95 fairlane and a 83 exa turbo but I have decided to sell the 2 fords and get a mini. I am a little worried because I am 6 foot tall, so will I fit in one?
Cheers.
Dave.

Welcome comrade......

I am 6ft and I find there is more headroom in a Mini, than your average Jap buzzbox. Have a seat in a Mini and you will be quite surprised! :D

PS: My boss' father has a late 40's Anglia. He has owned it from NEW!

on the 48 anglia thing.. seems a lot of people call the ford popular an anglebox ... the two cars are very similar cosmeticly the front grille was the most obvious difference. The first fully modified car i built was a ford POP.. boxed chassis. HC viva disc brake front end, and 3ltr V6 from a ford Zephyr. sold it incomplete and lost plenty.. crap happens when your 21 LOL

Makka, these seat extensions are they freely available or do you know who has them for sale? Im bit over 6 ft and yeah half an hour or so in the couple of minis I've owned is enough to make your knees ache a bit so I think this could be next on the list.

Cheers

Welcome Dave  If ya can't fit do what my brother would have to do and drive it from the back seat

I too was worried I wouldn't have enough room, then my friends not so subtly reminded me my only problem would be reaching the pedals  (5'2")

Ok sweet I'll try UK ebay then, spose I'll have to get that paypal setup finally. And for greenexa this is the only problem I've had fitting in my minis, theres plenty of headroom, about the same if not more than my Fairmont (would be same as your Fairlane). Pity the seats don't have to adjustments to recline back though like your Fairmonts/lanes

Yeah true, they don't look hard to make up. But due to lack of tools and area to make them in my rental joint at the moment, might be just as easy to purchase ready mades. Thanks
