I think they are to narrow. My Cooper S would only have 100mm space on either side and if you have wider wheels then even less space. So Im not convinced.

Also looked at Easy-trailer which are cheap but even smaller at 8x5'. They are only 125kg plus accessories but total carrying capacity is only about 600kg.... Wish they made a slightly bigger, but still light, trailer at a good price.... |

I want a nice snug trailer, 10cm spare each side should be plenty unless you have a sports sedan. I did look at the Easy trailer and there us a thread here somewhere where a person towed a mini from Brisbane to Hobart with one. I am just worried that they might be Chinese rubbish (no offence to China, but their metal seems to be made from compressed bran flakes!). Anyone have a better design or comments on the black framed heavy duty Easy Trailer? |

Problem with trailers that narrow is any wide rims of negative camber & they won't fit on the trailer. As a side note in 2003 i had a 14x6 dual axle car trailer built, full checker plate floor, electric brakes,mags new light truck tyres & 12 months rego & it cost me $2800, now a trailer that size is $2500

My trailer is only a little over five foot wide on the bed and it's carried Minis, a Corolla, Geminis, a VW and an MR2s with no issues. You just have to be very accurate with the wider track cars when you drive them on the trailer. |

How do you get out once you have it on the tralier, Dukes of Hazard style, looks like the door will hit the trailer mud guard |

If you have a van you go out through the back doors. Except when you realise they can only be opened from the outside and you forgot to undo the doors again. So you yell to your wife to come outside and open the back doors.
(That was with my old trailer, not the current one.) |

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/mini-and-mok ... 3cb9a5dc25 my mate has one similar - he cut the mudguard off and made it removeable (held on with springs and a rope for additional security). Just take the mudgard off the trailer, load, replace the mudguard - removal is opposite of installation |
