Can we get a group thing going? I know there was a vmci one last year, but did it involve ausmini people?

The VMCI day was a huge success so I am sure that the guy who organised it would be interested in doing it again.

We put on a bbq and drinks as well so was quite a good day.

Not sure of the price but if you look back at your mags Harley you'll find out.

Just give the guy a ring and ask him if he would be interested in running another if we could get a few cars together.

was actually more after getting a dyno tune than a dyno shoot out?

Can't really remember. Don't think they were able to tune Mini's sorry. Person to contact for their details would be our MiniMag editor. He organised the Dyno Day.

Give Link a call and see if they have connections with anyone like that.

If you find anything out let us know please. Always helpful for the future.

It's not so much finding the dyno's, I would have thought the hard part would be finding somewhere with a dyno that actually knows anything about minis.

I don't know of anyone that does this in Melbourne and I've asked around a few times.

Used to be one at Minis Plus (Lindsay Siebler) in Bayswater but he hasn't got the dyno anymore.

That's why I thought maybe Link would be good on advice. Brian is into performance so he must have some good ideas.

that is exactly what i am after, someone who knows minis.
i know of a few dyno's around the traps at gas places we use with work a few turbo joints too.
the only one i am half sort of leaning to is the datsun joint in moorabin somewhere i was told about. at least they use su carbs too.

edit: you always see sydney mini workshops advertising dyno tuning.

Well maybe it's worth a holiday trip to Sydney. The guys up there would be able to help you.

1275 bored to 1300 with dished pistons
3 - 1 perry extractors
hif 44 on a minisport manifold with hp filter with turned aloy stubstack
re-13 cam
12g 940 head with small amount of porting, 1.4" inlet valves, std exhaust
10.1:1 compression

and sadly std ignition system, but caulfield jag are going to plot out an advance curve for me to give to ICE for my ignition that is getting fixed by a mate there.

next planned mod is some higher ratio rocker gear

needle at the moment is just the standard metro as it came off the car.

i'm going to get as much info out of them as i can. if i could hang around and wach them do it all i most definatly would.

Brilliant Stev..and spot on...You have to be thier when they do it..
It will scare the .....out of you but I have done it twice now...
Measure you know what needle you have now
After the first run is it lean or rich running at the bottom and a high rev's
What needle they think it should be changed to...HiF 44  Love them..Morris also runs one
Get a Print out on thier best adjusted and best run :!: Ie Mini Mad and I 1152 got in the 45's so you should be somewhat more than us
some also give torque at rev range and air mixture

Get as much info from them and in print as you can for you'r $
Let me put it this way...how many Ausmini people in Melbourne and how many are going to read your reations to the service
