i've got a universal choke cable. Haighs 10 buck jobbie...

without it hooked up to carby it pulls and pushes smoothly, but as soon as i hook it up to the carby it catches and fluffs around and doesnt operate the choke effectively.

the choke lever on the carby operates really quite nicely by hand... and i've got the cable doing as long a smooth nice curves route as do-able...

any ideas?
