GRs thread is off to the spam dump with the other thread. Hostilities can resume by PM as much as anyone likes. |

With respect Mick. GT Mowog was allowed to have a go at other members witthout any consequence and the thread was viewed for days. Graham Russell placed a new thread in responce/defence of what was said and his thread was pulled within an hour. Fair go? |

I understand your thoughts Ty. For the protagonists who like to flare up on this and other forums, its an immature act to not be able to make a point without descending to abuse. Yet this is often what happens, both overtly, and in a passive aggressive style. Usually the posts are left up long enough to have a vent, the most embarrassing posts are also left up long enough to hopefully make people think a little about what they write. It is an open forum, banning is few and far between. Everyone tightens their bolts in the same direction, but some still bring ego into the conversation. If you're alluding to favouritism, the no there is none. I would like to dive through GRs workshop one day as much as I would like to dive through GTs, and Docs. Sometimes threads get passed over for a few days, sometimes there's a chance they might rehabilitate themselves, sometimes they will simply respawn micro threads like this one. It's hard to know where they might go, but sometimes once the blood has been let we can move on the more usual topics and stop scaring the potential new users. This is why they often don't just disappear straight away. I notice after public spats that a lot of users withdraw from the place out of frustration at the unfriendly atmosphere. They come bock sometimes, sometimes they don't. Next time people want to compare penis sizes, consider the forum a little more. Apparently we do things better than other forums in a lot of ways with the free flow of information, but we can't just rely on our own wonderful self assessment of ourselves (the self licking ice cream) when portraying an image to the wider mini community. |

^ what he said ![]() The piston rings thread has been pulled. It may or may not come back without the pissing contests. And the reason some stay up for days before being pulled is because we mods do actually have a life. We cannot be everywhere at once. I personally had a double header of football on the weekend, and backed up for training last night. I was only on for five minutes and had to lock a thread. Not in a right mental state to have to deal with it because I was, and still am exhausted. I am so busy, I haven't even shaved for two weeks and my wife doesn't know me any more, let alone have time to put the clutch back together in the Mini, which is what I should be doing. Like all communities, there is a responsibility on all members to uphold the community standards. If you have an objection about a post or thread, then you are welcome to PM the mods with your objections if you think it will get our attention faster. However, we still won't be spending all day cleaning things up, you lot should be keeping it clean as you post. |

I can help you with this....... 1. Give up football (silly & dangerous!) 2. Fix clutch in mini 3. Have a shave 4. Spend time with wife, buy flowers & chocolates if necessary 5. Forget about Ausmini 6. Sanity will then return. ![]() |
