Where can you get these things? I'm after a 10" set, just wondering if there's anywhere in aus you can get them, instead of getting them from overseas on ebay.. Anywhere in sydney? |

Ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Set-Four-10-inch-Portawalls-Whitewalls-NEW-302-/230457364103?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35a8544e87 Comes from the US though. Old World Lamps and Tyres http://www.oldworldlamps.net/Portawalls.htm Only list 13"-16" Vintage Tyre Co http://www.vintagetyresales.com.au/catalog17.html List 12"-16" So it depends on what size you want..... EDIT - Just read your post properly so I've added no information of value at all. Cheers, Dicko |

The biggest problem is that over time Portawalls will wrinkle and go out of shape , there are 12 inch and 13 inch white wall tyres available but none in 10 inch , some people have had a color painted on but to it looks rubbish once you have done a few KM,s . |

I did a search some time back and couldnt find 10 inch... i could be completely wrong. if you go to this thread http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic ... highlight= there is a thing on getting "white walls" on existing tyres which might be the way to go. Not sure how thick they can make them though |

They can be applied to any tyre, but only so thick. Talk to anyone who has an XY falcon or Monaro/Charger... Most of them have had redwalls put on. They can do white or blue walls as well. Plenty of guys around doing it. |

Applied to any tyre, but are they legal? I've heard stories, validity unknown, of people being defected because it weakens the sidewall of the tyre when they grind it back to white it. I know the flapper whitewalls are technically illegal too, but i'd rather pay less for something illegal, than more for it! |
