From time to time requests for 850 trim pop up in the Wanted section, we all know it's hard to find and the number of different colors and styles doesn't help.

Just a thought......

Would there be any interest/benefit in collating a list of who has what spare/excess trim pieces/salvagable parts/seats etc that they'd be prepared to sell or swap to keep another 850 orginal?

Most cars that are coming up for sale at the moment don't have complete original interiors and of course that won't matter to many buyers, other cars are great except for one area - drivers seat? and the ability to trade/buy/source a piece of matching trim from someone without a complete set would keep that car the way it was made.

Thoughts?

Not a bad idea this.
I know that it is very difficult to source original style trim for the older Minis. I have previously used the Wanted section to try to source the lizard skin trim for a 1960 850 but to no avail.
Sourced some modern equivalents but still not quite right. As for the early Coopers the right type is getting harder to find as well.
If anyone has some lizard skin trim material please let me know.
Happy to list the spare trims and interior parts that I have available to help out with genuine restorations.

All I have left is a grey/blue diagonal stripe rear seat and back rest and a green and grey lizard skin seat cover and back rest cover.

Just reviving this thread as a lot of people are looking for 850 trim to restore cars:

Some people are after:

Early red and grey speckle
Early green and grey speckle
Later Blue and grey striped speckle
Later Red and grey striped speckle

Please list what you have, that might assist someone to complete a car! :)

I'm about to order the material for my seats - just to double check my measurements does anyone know how much is needed to cover the pleated bits and all the rest? - I get 2 meters and 6 meters (includes door back pocket lining and parcel shelves)
