![]() Pulled this out today to change in a thicker oil. Not expecting it to last too much longer, just long enough for my replacement car to be ready lol |

Has the motor had regular changes in the past or is all the metal a new occurrence? I have seen motors with this much metal in one oil change that have lasted years with regular changes. Here is one of mine... ![]() |

actually now that i think about it ive not pulled the plug on this car before...... ive just always been filling it up. Was using a fair bit before but sinse hay its been using up to a litre of oil a week, mostly burning. |

Try changing the oil again at 1500 miles or 2500 km and see what it is like. |

Well, since we're comparing: ![]() I changed the oil after my gearbox started making funny noises. This is what I got. |

It's a good thing they put a magnet in the gearbox then!:lol: I get hardly anything on mine now, all the fine stuff gets trapped in the spin-on filter can by 2 external `rare earth' magnets. |

Anyway, i say always inspect closely what you find, if it's fine particles then carry on, if it's chunky like my last oil change where i found bits of diff you have a problem. |
