Gday all. Well need some advice in getting one of those stop leak kits for a rod change gearbox on. I have the kit however how many seals are there in the actual holewhere the rod thingy comes out of the box. I ask as I removed the outer seal(or the remnants of it anyway...)but went to put the alloy, o-ringed bush in and only pushed on JUST inside the recess. Does this thing have to go in further, do I remove the inner seal as well and then insert it??

Your advice needed

There is normally only one seal fitted, but many cars out there have 2 in there (as there's room to bung another in if it leaks). You will need to dig out that inner one too.
Is the kit better than just 2 new seals? I dunno..
