Don't throw the autos away: parts are tricky to get so would be of use to somebody.

I brought one 1.3 auto for my van and also a 2nd one for spares. Don't throw the boxes :!: maybe even hold off on converting the blocks to manual as 1275 auto's are getting even rarer than normal 1275's  .

Yeah, don't throw them away. Let us people who like autos have them!

I wouldn't bother, Anyone who wants an auto for anything less than concourse (aka matching numbers) would be better served getting one of the late model autos which are much more drivable in auto form.

By all means keep the boxes for spares but convert the blocks as you see fit.

Have you driven a 1275 Auto? I've driven both 60's and 90's versions. There is bugger-all difference, they are equally driveable when in good condition. I reckon most people wanting an Auto would be happy with either.

Yes, the older boxes are slightly more harsh on the changes due to a different valve body, but they are basically still the same design. Most of the parts do interchange.

Regards,
