 Post subject: rust repair in sydney.

The only place I've seen advertising rust repairs, as a specialty, is in Tempe/Newtown.

It's called JT Mechanical Repairs, corner of Edgeware Rd and Smidmore Street. Contact # from Google: (02) 9519 6042

More like Marrickville/St Peters, but yes, I was gonna say the same as it's the only place I've seen that specifically says they specialise in rust repairs.

How extensive is the rust- if it's minor I'm sure some people on here with a MIG could chip in and help for a carton or 2 (count me out, my eyesight is going).

I think Ivan at Minispares & Repairs in Castle Hill used to do his share of rust repairs, I'm not sure he still does it- ring and ask.

is rust as seen here, but also a few bubbles comin up arond the car. it has be reprayed at once stage so i want to fix it properly the first time

i was thinking de-seam, is that costly ?

Best way will be to take it in and ask what they think.

Looks like fairly normal rust to me - they'll probably give you a reasonable guesstimate of the time involved straight off the bat.

I've got a smash repairer that done my corolla but this was resprayed in 2008 i think and rust is coming through again. i dont want to fix rust every three years if possible.

if not ill just strip the thing and start again
