yep sorry, no other way of asking for it... anyone who owns a roundie with the doors that have these handles (that I hate mind you ), can you tell me are the chrome handles themselves able to be swapped from left to right hand doors?

Image

Reason I ask is I have a RHS door for sale with a broken one of these, however this is a picture of a LHS door that is buggered that the handle is perfect, so was hoping since its just the handle that's snapped off, will they change over?

Also how the heck do they come out? how can you get to the screws behind/ inside there? The door is guttered, but still it looks a PITA.... bloody roundies

My car has two passengers side handles, because I didn't want a visable external lock.
So yep, it'll fit. Once the glass is out of the door, remove the square pin on the inside lock, and the circlip on the handle, remove the plate between them then poke a screwdriver in and undo the 3 screws holding the base on.

Hi Lockie

It is most unlikely that you will find anyone that would want this handle fitted to a RH door as they will then have no locking mechanism, unless like Harley they fit some other method.

arh i c.. didn't even know they had a lock  (dont see why they need a lock on a roundie... just kidding,,, we all know im a clubbie man :P so there you go.. :) It seems over the years all the RHS ones Ive had pass through my hands are broken off... so never seen one to bother looking at it....

But interesting to know that you could change them over if you wanted to :)

be afaid the mini gods will frown on you
all minis are equal
(some more equal than others)
and if the roundie had not been where would you have got your square nose from ??
ponder that

can't argue with that.. I just feel like stiring some certain people up on here

At least you call it a square front, unlike some I know!!

Yes I'm beginning to like the roundnose.. god help me when I do buy one, one day,, i just have never liked the door handles and window setups and the dash setup..

If it's going to be a roundie, it'll be one of those rare ones with flapper lift up door handles :P and wind up windows etc.. the same as a clubbie :) just a round front to it :P
