 Post subject: 2 spd wiper motor

just bought a two speed wiper motor, but silly me didnt realise it didnt come with everything needed..duh! :shock:
Im curios to know if i can use the same gear as i have in the single speed motor i have now and use it in the 2 spd? or if i have to buy everything needed :?

Correct switch & also rewire it
i know there is a thread on the correct switch in here somewhere recently

If you are replacing a round single speed motor (~1968-1971) then yeah all the rest of the mechanism fits.
But you need to fit a BHA4786 2 speed switch (MGB) and add another wire from there to the motor.
I will find that wiring diagram I used...

I recently rebuilt my wiper motor and found this very useful. There is a description of the wiring too, so you should be able to work out what you need from here.
