Post subject:  new wiring loom problem??

Gday all

Ive struck a problem with my new wiring loom ive had made..

Now I need to know the right method of putting it in....

I was told and given a diagram thats shows it
starting at the drivers side rear light....across the floor towards the petrol tank
up into the roof and along the roof on the passanger side then it comes down then piller...and into the dash area....

then the main loom conects into it..goes threw a hole in the passanger side firewall and into the engine bay....

then along the top of the firewall towards the drivers side again....and along the front guard
towards the front of the car....

mine dosent seem to work that way...and the only way it will reach everything is if it goes straight out of the hole into the firewall and runs across the top of the radiator???

am I doing something wrong....

I feel like a real nuff nuff...lol

The cable comes down from the roof to the firewall, through a grommet below the top dash rail and into the engine bay.
Then the loom goes across the front of the top of the firewall sharing space with the window wiper mechanism.
The dash wiring goes through the speedo hole in the centre of the firewall behind the carb(s).
It then travels to the fuse box in the normal place at the rear of the inner drivers side guard and down the inner guard to the front of the car where it feeds to the passenger side lights and the engine from under the top of the grill support panel.

The cabin courtesy light shares out from the loom at the where the loom passes down from the roof to the firewall, except it travels inside the car across the front of the lower dash rail beneath the upholstery to the drivers side courtesy light door switch.
