just bought a two speed wiper motor, but silly me didnt realise it didnt come with everything needed..duh! 
Im curios to know if i can use the same gear as i have in the single speed motor i have now and use it in the 2 spd? or if i have to buy everything needed

Correct switch & also rewire it i know there is a thread on the correct switch in here somewhere recently |

If you are replacing a round single speed motor (~1968-1971) then yeah all the rest of the mechanism fits. But you need to fit a BHA4786 2 speed switch (MGB) and add another wire from there to the motor. I will find that wiring diagram I used...

There's a how-to on repairing the round body wiper motors: http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=71385 I recently rebuilt my wiper motor and found this very useful. There is a description of the wiring too, so you should be able to work out what you need from here. |
