i`ve looked but i`ve worked out that i`m totally useless when it comes to the search function, it`s probly really easy to use right? can some one find the old GT gear knob thread, there was a knob on ebay selling a knob & it went for stoopid money, maybe just last year? but i have a funny feeling that another person said that they were the same as the std Leyland mini knobs, but instead of being brown with the "H" pattern in the top, they were black with the checkered GT in the top,,, s well,,,, i don`t think they were the same,,, looks like (& i`ve confirmed with a couple of very knowledgeable/experienced/wise old mini parts specialists) that they were in fact a different knob, slightly taller & a bit narrower at the top,,, (Genuine GT Knob P/N--> AYG3193) obviously the same texture tho, possibly made by the same company that made the std one can some brain-iac find the thread please? |

First, the 'GT' knobs were a factory option (but dealer fitted) for the GTs, not standard fitment. The 'odd' black knobs are the real deal, they are the early, real early ones. ![]() |

Matt, How'd you go with the photos and sale price of your GT gear knob & rare bits, probably like a few other members keenly waiting on your decision. |
