Wouldn't it be the same size as the outlet of the extractors, any bigger would be pointless. Or did I get the jist of your question wrong. They're usually 1 3/4" or 1 7/8", 3" system is just a wa#k.

I'd say around the 1 3/4" to 2" but I wouldn't go any bigger than that. Staying the same as the extractors I reckon would be a good idea.

By the way what extractors are you using?
And what muffler system are you using?

1 7/8in with a single box back end. Lukey perforated system will fair thee well. 2 inch would be your max I would think.

Agree with the wa%k factor in the V8/WRX and 3-4 inch sewer pipes out the back - no worth in it and only of benefit if using dragway amounts of boost.

i found this,
http://www.minispares.com/Articles.aspx?ty=ad&aid=312

Personally, I'd say that once they have asked a bunch of questions about the engine's design, use, cam characteristics, cc, etc, they should be telling you what sized pipe....otherwise find a different shop....

Who built the 7 port? Ask them what to run?

There is no such thing as a 1340, it's either 1310, 1330 or 1360cc Unless you're running some weird pistons?

Chong, if you use 72.5 pistons (GR has them) you do get around 1340cc.

As for a 7 port head, why not just use a Maniflow (etc) LCB.. 7 ports (unlike 8 ports) don't need custom made ones.
