Today the WA Mini community laid to rest a true gentleman and Mini enthusiast-Al Munday. He was well known for his many years of Mini Speedway racing and later Appendix J Mini racing.Al also owned and operated Mini Central in the Perth metro area, where he was always there to give advise or fix someones broken down Mini.He always had a smile and a cuppa if you called in,he will be surely missed in the Mini community.
Rest in Peace Al.
The pic's tell the story

Thank's for the photo's Allan and for keeping me informed through Al's illness . I had the pleasure of meeting Al a few years ago at a barbecue at Allan's house south of Perth and have to agree with Allan that the mini community has lost a true gentleman and a mini great . Rest in peace Al .

Though I never met the man himself, I have heard multiple stories of his pleasant nature and willingness to help out the Mini community.

RPI Al and condolences to his family.

I also blame my Dad for me being 6' 1" - not really the optimum height for driving a Mini.

I was at work and unable to make the funeral but Al was a good friend to all of the WA mini community. Many is the time I've stopped and had a cup of coffee or five with a fine man.

Wherever he is there will be minis around!

Goodbye Al
