Just curious , what amps are draw just to run the engine ?
day time driving , no radio , no accessories , just fuel pump and ignition
would a lucas 15amp alltenator be ok ?

Thats what they left zetland/enfield with, so its plenty.

Id say the majority of people runnning mini's are running 15Ac lucas alternators, mine does

Hang on a sec...

I think you're confusing the part # with the output.

The generators/dynamos (C40) were rated at 22amp

The 15AC alternators were 28 amp

The later 16ACR alternators were 34 amp.

The generator was plenty to run a standard mini, the highest draw item is the headlamps.
