Hiya all!!!!

Lockie has just left here and now needs help. Urgent like!! He's on the emergency scout for another engine :( , he's done a gearbox bearing (or something along those lines anyways   !) Right now he is about 60 odd klms from Wellington.

He has asked me to post this to see if anybody around these parts ( or further even  !) might be able to help him out if possible? If you can and have his number, can you possibly give him or me a buzz? He is in patchy phone range, so you can call me on 0422311547 if you can't get a hold of him.

Thanks in advance guys!

Rusty68 in Orange may be nearest to help. When I lived there there was a mechanic called Peter Ball that worked on Mini engines. Dubbo would be closer if there is anyone up that way.

Aw Kim - that means he has driven straight past our place and he could have wheeled in in and had one of the engine assays here ???

We were doing a hazard reduction near the Goolma pub this morning and i didn't see a mioni drive past though although the road would have been hard to see through the smoke.

Hehe! You were the first person that came to mind when I heard he'd struck trouble Mike  !! Lockie left my place about 6ish this morning, and had issues somewhere before Wellington. But was in Cowra and had it all sorted by the time he finally had decent phone service to ring him back lol! Luckily, it wasn't as bad as first thought it turns out!!

I drove out MudHut today and noticed more burnoff out there too. Will keep you guys busy for a while yeah?

No Kim.

Its already fire season and due to a variety of reasons very little hazard reduction was done. All that has been done is essential stuff.

From here on in its all real fires - a good drop of rain might put it back a couple of weeks but..... Its a tinder box through most of NSW.

wait till I get back to QLD boys, I'll sort you lot out, specially you Ty

Thankyou so so much Kim, your a great mechanic side hand :) Couldn't have done it without you. :) Temporarily fixed now until I get back to QLD  No speedo, cable and speedo drive in the gearbox and it's all good for now

You lot have missed out on so much fun over the last 48hrs.. truck rollovers, HUGGEE roo's jumping out infront of me, back roads, huge pot holes, dirt roads, gravel roads, the drone of the loud exhaust, drivers abusing you at servos as you over take them going backwards as they plod along at 80km's, getting lost at 3am in the morning, gearbox problems, and doing 70km's in second gear all the way until you figure out how to fix the problem temporarily :P,,(smart I am aye  :P nothing lockie can't fix yet .... hehe...

arh the fun.. traveled 1,644 km's so far :)

heres the trip planner for those interested http://g.co/maps/qct9
