Currently faffing about with my pot joints and did a search looking for the ball size. Came across this thread:
http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic ... +ball+cage

Isn't this cage around the wrong way? Might explain the difficulty he had fitting them?

Pretty sure it can only go in one way? From memory the outer race is not removable from the inner race, only the balls are? The toothed end is one side and a nylon plug on the other so it can only be placed uni directional to the drive shaft only and can't be 'flipped"?

Yeah they're removable...how you think they get them together?

Have to take the inner off the shaft though, or slide the outer race off the other end of the drive shaft.

yeah the cage come off in-wards,,, in other words you "should`t be able to just slip the cage off the Pot end of the axle, it would need to slip up the shaft side

do you get what i mean?

whatever, i`m goin back to work :-)
