Yes it is Jan....... i will only be entering Slidey in 1 category, although i'm a little confused as to which category........

Do you have any thoughts as to which category Jan? I was thinking Cat. 3 - Roundnose Mini all other.

I gather your Mini is quite standard if you are going for Cat. 3.

Or if it's dead original you could go Cat. 1 which is the concours class.

1310 w/weber, mags, rc 40....other than that is not really modified

Have a look at my album maybe you can give me some guideance as to what category............ the badging is going back to matic badging at the moment, cos the shell is a Matic shell.

My mum bought it new 28 years ago and she gave it to me at the end of last year cause she stuffed her left foot up.. Jus before i got my licence!!

I dont think it will be good enough to enter in the muster but u will c me at all the nxt gatherings like last weekend. Whens the nxt one happening! i wanna be in a mini cruz cause i havnt been in one yet.

I was also thinking of entering. Not to win, cos there's still a bit to do, but for a bit of fun. I was also pretty confused over what category to enter under.

It is a 68 deluxe, custom dash, cooper s steelies, 1275 (1100s) motor, cooper s discs and rear drums, elec ignition, auxillary rad. How standard do they expect the cars in non concourse to be? Oh well, it's still in pieces at the mo' might not even make it!

Any ideas which category? (sorry no digi pics)

Well if Concours is judged correctly you would want to have a completely standard car. For everything non standard you would have points deducted. That's how it should work anyway.

Otherwise you enter the non concours original section unless you have lots of mods in which case you go in the Best Modified Roundnose.

No I don't think you confused me more that would be hard, i'm already pretty confused!

I'm definately not going concourse, I just wasn't sure what they wanted in the other cats. The bodywork is standard cept for the removal of the badges from the boot, no flares or other mods. All of the mods are based around the mechanicals only. still all A series and mini based tho.

Oh well, like i said it is for fun, so if they don't like it in the category i enter ity in, i'm sure they'll let me know!!

Yeh, it's all in good fun.

Unfortunately not all entrants think that way.

Judges have a hard job and believe me, it's not easy getting people to volunteer for this job.

If everyone remembered that it's how you love your Mini that counts we'd be right.

they need some categories more people could enter Like "most rusty" or" biggest mess".. then i could enter a few.. otherwise look for the tall bald guy without a mini.
