Twin HS2 setups go from about $250 up depending on condition. New sets complete are around $1100 now!!

If you buy cheap s/h ones, budget to have them reconditioned.. but that ain't cheap either if done properly.

I remember that after I rebuilt my twin HS2's that counting purchase and sourcing missing bits and rebuild kits I spent $500 not counting my labour to do the rebuild.

The $1100 price I quoted was local, not direct import.

hi thanks for the replies, seems to be a range of prices. I think it might be something that will have to wait till i can afford to get one and rebuild it or buy a new one. Thanks again guys :)

what are split webers?

`Split Webers' have 2x DCOE carbs with 1 butchered on one side (by cutting 1/2 the barrel away) so that you can fit them to a straight twin tube manifold (similar to a twin SU one).
They were made popular after the UK factory famously homologated a version in 1969? but these days I don't think they produce much (or any?) more power over a single Weber on a good long race manifold...

Yup Dr Mini is correct, My split Webers are done the Vizard way so they are still both useable and you only need a shoft manifold with splits which makes the engine sound amazing and you can have a normal looking dash even with a decent filter.

I need to start a FS thread as I will probably never use my Mini engine parts again, I can't bring myself to do it. :(

Kermit, You would be much better off either running a single 1 1/2 carby or a HIF44. Cheaper and easier to maintain. Twins go out of tune pretty easily. IMO

Oh ok, I have heard that. I was gonna run a single 1 and a half inch one but just thought i would look at twins. I'll more than likely go with get a 1 and a half though.

The factory split Weber setup from 68 used a Cooper S manifold.
The rules for the class said that the manifold had to remain standard.
It was not homologated, it was within the rules.
