I Found an old mini, can somebody do a ID check please

I think it my be an early 997 cc cooper

Hi Les (we met at the Moke Muster in Wagga) I've added the wee beastie to my register, There's one on the list within 10 numbers, same colours too.
Is it grey with a white roof, or 'tother way round?

Are you ever going to share the 997 Cooper information you have collected? Would be nice to see how many Coopers are out there and their approximate production dates. What's the point of contributing to such a data base if the contributors never get any benefit?

Fair point willy, well made, I have about 75 cars listed now, really that's all it is , a list...

As for sharing info. I will do, but I am also aware of my promise to those who provided the data that it would remain confidential. I still have people who won't give me the info for fear of some sort of loss of the identity of the car. I really don't mind people asking questions, like what sort of heater should car 2078 have, or what should my sills look like etc. I can usually refer to my or even your cars or cars close to the number in the list for answers.

The other problem is time! there's never enough of it for me! I probably have too many projects and interests, perhaps I should sell a few cars! (here come the pm's! )

I am in the process of refreshing all my registers at the moment, I'll see if I can do a summary of the data I have for 997 / 998. After all, it will probably bring out more info too.
