I know Karcraft's job is to sell products, but I felt that it was extremely poor service to tell me to "just call Graham Russell" when asking them a simple question about pistons.
I thought I would relieve GR of another idiot pestering him, by calling KC, but obviously this wasn't such a great idea.

Why is it so hard to get good service these days?

I certainly won't be buying my several thousand dollar order locally, that's for sure.

Poor performance.

You must have spoken to someone other than Tim.

Ask for Tim - always

I find Karcrafts service AWESOME!!

I suppose they are selling GR's pistons and really wouldnt know a great deal about them (ie all the ins and outs) so they just referred you to the man himself who should know all about them. I mean Tim a great bloke but he cant know everything about every mini part they sell.

Ive usually bought overseas but recently have found it more convenient to just go to Karcraft. As stated above Ive found their service to be excellent however ironically when I asked about pistons recently (1380cc size) they just also said it would be best to speak with Graham Russel, your not alone.

willy there probably is a reason for them directing you to GR. Karcraft, GR, Lindsay @ minisplus have always been helpful when I have requested info etc.
I think your complaint is falling on deaf ears . . . "sort of like the boy who cried wolf" . . . sorry for the "captain obvious" moment. :P

Rang them just before 6 tonight, closed for almost an hour & someone answered helped me out with a small order.

Good performance.

+1
Cheaper interstate/overseas than local mini 'parts experts'.
I've never used Karcraft but after the outstanding reponses I shall add them to my list.

I will continue to use Karcraft as I find them consistently cheaper than other Aussie mini shops, fast response to my quote requests and prompt delivery when I need parts the same day.

To set the record straight.

Customer rang enquiring about whether we sold GR pistons.

We do not.

Hence the referral to GR.

Regards
The Karcraft Team. :D

PS. Many thanks to the 2 customers who brought this matter to our attention.

I've used Karcraft for years, their prices and service are great.

A while back I brought some adj tie bars in from Minispares UK. By the time they added their £40 freight, I could have filled the car with petrol, driven to Karcraft and back and Kc would still have been cheaper. :P

Moral of story- price stuff here first, before you go importing...

I'd probably buy more from Karcraft if they had a decent e-commerce website, as it is, I can do a heck of a lot of web surfing at work without anyone noticing, but cannot spend the same time on the phone talking about mini parts and prices, thus, most of my orders go places where i can order silently!

And if they were open on Saturdays... !
