Thanks Harley. I only have the one key. It does ignition, doors and the boot. I have kept the original fuel caps so no need there. |

If anyone is interested there are a couple of companys that have original Wilmot Breeden key blanks both uncut (old stock) and also cut used keys. If you know the key code they can look in their stock of old used keys. see http://www.triple-c.com/Original_Wilmot_Breedon_Keys.cfm and http://britishcarkeys.com/ |

the day i bought my car i only got one key and as i was putting it on a truck the next day to go interstate, i spent half a day driving around perth trying to get a key cut and no-one had blanks.... thankfully toll didn't lose the keys, but back in South Oz it still took me ****** ages to find a locksmith with the blanks... can't remember who it was now.. i really should write that stuff down! |

Is there any ID on the ignition at all to give me the key code? I could be wrong here but I have a vague recollection the number is somewhere in each lock, eg if you pull apart your boot lock it's stamped somewhere but it may involve removing the barrel. But be aware barrels are sometimes altered to suit a different key, I've done that a few times myself by rearranging/filing down the pins. I think as far as just getting a new key cut a decent locksmith should be able to get that blank still even if they need to order one in, or find out what that blank is called and ring around. It's a very common key type for british cars |
