Too many mistakes or omissions. Take the very first car listed, the Morris 850. According to that list if you have an engine numbered 8YUH it is a Mini Minor but the Morris 850 also used that engine prefix from about 1964. That is when they went from an imported power unit to a locally built up one. Cooper's also had a locally made 998 motor but you never see it on the lists. I will give it a bonus point for the 998 Mini Minor though! It is probably the best list on the net but I have counted over ten mistakes at a glance without getting the books out. Look at the list and answer this, I have a YG2S7 what is it? (edited due to viral induced brain problem) |

Another error on that list- It says a Mk2 MiniMatic should be Y2MA2S4 Nooooooooo, it's YA2S5, I've owned 2 of `em. I don't think any list of Oz Minis exists that has NO errors or omissions.. The Mini Car Clinic book has heaps of errors too! ![]() [edit] YG2S7 is a 1098 Clubman? (according to MCClinic's list) |
