just after the fresh respray :(

can this be repaired? it's not my fault some one in a 4x4 not looking when entering a round about.. lucky for me a police car was behind them on the round about.

typically no damage to the toyota 4wheel.

:(

That is no good!

Definately repairable. Given it was a 4x4, I think you got lucky!

Best of luck with a speedy repair!

That's pretty unlucky :(

It looks like a minor repair but the paint would be the biggest issue i would assume.

Hope you don't get stuffed around trying to get it fixed

Sorry to hear that

I would say they will repair it as long as they value the car higher than the repair bill. I would put some homework into where you take the car for insurance/repair evaluation. Your/there? insurance company will have allocated repair shops local to you, but you can choose. Ultimately the insurer will decide what they are going to do, you used to be able to negotiate a little with them but been a long time since I went through this.

They rode off a Datsun 120Y I had a run about which had a slight bang in the back, but the reason for this was the boot floor was also deformed, this extra cost bumped it over the market value not the real valve of the car. I ended up getting close to what I paid for the car and keeping the car, spent a small amount and a couple of hours tiding up and came away with some extra cash from the episode.

Hey good advice here.

On another note:

I just need to applaud you for writing off a 120Y. That is a contribution that needs to be commended.

I'm not a panel beater, but looking at those pics i reckon that dint would come out fairly easily. Then just some fine work getting it all nice, then fixing the paint. However i would be fairly particular about who did the work. You would want a real pro to do it all nicely.

Respraying will probably be the biggest part of the job, pulling the dent out and smoothing it out won't be too hard.

The only concern I can see is that it's right on the fuel tank. I hope you don't have any problems there.

a good panel shop should be able to pull that out
cutting would be a last resort
had the popemoble worse than that and that was pulled/pushed and massaged out.
best of luck :)
