Is it the case of swap master cylinder and T piece, and doneski's?

You also need to add the regulating valve on the rear sub-frame.

Not if the car was built with a single circuit and it is being converted back.

Why would you go from a duel to single circuit though?

Ummm the dual (tandem MC) on Minis didn't really work.
Crack a rear bleed nipple open and you had no brakes anyway, we found on Mini GT's Starlet Mini.
Tandem MC was fitted to `comply' with ADRs back then. Didn't mean it had to work...
They are also a PITA to overhaul compared to a single.

[edit] BTW I'm only talking about the Oz tandem MC here, not the totally different MC + servo fitted to later Rovers.

I have a magazine article from the 70s where the Leyland engineers were complaining about the push for dual circuit brakes in upcoming ADRs. They pointed out the number of moving parts and potential for unsuspected failure with dual circuits brakes vs the reliability of a single circuit. They were right!

I have a 1977 van, it is (and I think always has been) single circuit.
Maybe because it's a commercial?

I ask this for PDJ (who has piped up in this thread) as he has a mid 70's moke with a rusty dual MC system which will need replacing, so i figured a nice new plastic MC single system would be nicer and give a better pedal.

As with most things mini related, if the cops were to pull you over i doubt they would notice that the car has a single system rather than a dual...

They would have to know Minis and know the ADRs.
There is more chance getting caught by an insurance company after an accident (to get out of paying out a claim) than getting caught and defected on the road.

My sister had a 998LS in the mid 90's it was converted to single by previous owner and warning lights removed and retrimmed failed its rego had to put it dual system
