Arrr.. anyone in brisbane want to do me a favor?  I'm in syd but theres a Mini in the Camp Hill area which I'm interested in.. Does anyone happen to hang around there often with nothing to do, who would love to go check it out for me, to fill in time?  I'll paypal enough for a case of beer? haha

i wouldnt mind checking out that one to... damn, one owner, garaged forever one owner as you say... this one is as follows: MINI DELUXE 1969 1330CC unleaded engines, Full restoration 2002, maroon in colour, new tyres... $7000 - cant seem to get into more detail due to a database error - great pfft.. VB is just as bad as xxxx haha |

ok, so I checked out this mini this morning and it looks to be quite nice. Details as follows: it's actually 1310cc, single 1 3/4" carbie (from what i saw), drums all round, work done two years ago includes the following: new ball joints, master cylinder for clutch and brake (he wasnt sure about this though), has only done 260km in the last two years apparently, ie. used as a weekend driver.. reason for selling is that the guy, (Michael) is getting married soon and needs $$$ and he already has 4 cars haha The drums need to be fixed and he will get this done when a comitted buyer shows up, also needs a new battery... The exhaust note was very nice in my mind. There are quie a few rust bubbles popping up through the normal places (sills, weld joints) but nothing really major. The roof paint is cracking as well... Now the good. The interior is very schmick... Nice woodgrain steering wheel... I guess i'll let the pictures speak for themselves. It's for sale for $7000 but I think its over priced... I'd only be willing to pay $5k tops (what do you guys think?) I'm seriously considering this pending finance.. just don't want to over extend myself - otehrwise maybe someone here can take her

Guys I looked at it about a week ago. Save your dollars. It has paint crazing on the roof in fact the whole paint job is very very average. There is rust starting to bubble through on the left hand side (A pillar I think from memory). It looks tired and is probably worth about half what he is asking. G. |
