Hi Guys! I have just purchased most of a roundie Mini van recently and want to know from those with experience as to which doors I should fit. It came with no front doors but being a 68 van, had wind up window doors fitted originally. I dont have any wind up window doors in my inventory but I have a bare, rust free 850 passenger side slidey window door, left and right complete set of 850 door latch assemblies and glass for both sides and working metal catches plus all hinges. I also have the different catches for the B pillar that suit 850 doors. Do I, get a right side 850 door and all seals etc... or sell all the 850 stuff and hopefully find a complete set of wind up window doors? I spoke with my mate today and he asked me if I had driven a Mini with slidey windows and I said no, he said they can be a pain. What should I do? Any help or advice would be muchly appreciated. sell me the slidy doors and stuff ( glass to ) then buy the doors for the van that go with the van |

You may have a difficult time finding another 850 door, however selling the one you have will be very easy, and on a good day you might even be able to trade it for 2 wind up doors. Sliding window doors aren't that much of a pain, I'd prefer them to quarter window and wind ups. you can open them for ventilation without a draft, and have fun at the maccas drive in when you buy something big that won't fit in the opening.
