I posted this exact message on mokesinc, but apparently all posts need to be APPROVED by a moderator before they go public! What a bizarre way to run a forum. :?

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this is a previous owner mod or not, but I am part way through re-assembling my front subframe and have noticed that on the top arms, there are 10mm plates welded to the flat section, where the bump stop would touch.
I assume these are a big-wheeler Moke item, to compensate for the larger rolling diameter (tyre to guard clearance).

Is this true?

Will.

Yes, but on early Mokes, not late.
see p189 of Mini King's catalog, there is a pic.
will scan it and host her shortly.
[edit] this used std dry Mini bump rubbers, later Mokes had different.

Not all posts, there are different categories of membership. New member's posts get vetted at first to be sure that they are legit.

And not unusual, its the same on two other forums I am an admin on. Stops a lot of spam.

willy has been a member of the bustling online metropolis which is Mokesinc since its auspicious inception in May 2011.

Hmm, dunno then, he's not in the special "I'm keeping an eye on you" category either, as far as I can tell.

Why do people even bother on that forum??? There is plenty more info on this forum and this forum has far better people. Atleast on this forum if your under 35 and have an opinion you atleast stand half a chance. Unlike on that forum where I got banned for telling someone that a moke really is a mini with a bathtub as a body. The mods are basically useless and the guy who created it all... Oh god let's not even go there.

T BAGGING FTW!
