Several months ago when I changed to a standard rocker cover I was told the standard non vented cap is what I should have. But now thinking about it shouldn't I have the standard vented cap? My venting setup is pictured below. Cheers ![]() |

The PCV system cama with a vented cap, but it makes SFA difference which you use really. I found this years ago. I have a vented cap on the 1360 and a non-vented on the 1412, both run a PCV from the rocker cover into the Weber manifold. No running probs, leaks or mayo with either. |

The only thing I've noticed that I thought might be related is that occasionally the idle will be a little high when you first pull up then slowly drop to normal. I thought this may be as more and more of a vacuum builds up in the crankcase. |

Mine both do that (with a 45 dellorto, only when hot after a good run)- so I dunno. It may be a factor, maybe not. |
