Post subject: | Mk1 Front Apron |
Hey Guys Having had the 850 shell out in the sun for pretty much the first time this weekend it became pretty obvious that the front apron will need to be replaced. I've had a look around the regular suppliers but I can't seem to find an early one without the cut-outs. I think it's important to keep the front looking right so would love to know where I could get a replacement panel.. Any advice? |

Cut the bits off old panel and weld to new one |

You can get just the corners to weld into a later style panel with the cutouts. It would be awkward though. M-Machine in the UK list a mk1 front panel with full skirt, but I don't know if you can get just the skirt, its all one big panel anyway. ![]() Tim |

Turns out minispares does them! 'The early pre 1964 Mk1 had different shape valance without cut aways under bumper apron but this genuine panel fits all. There is an aftermaket panel without the cut aways on lower corners available, on request. The cutaways were added to all models to help cool the brakes and increase air flow generally, even to engine compartment as well' http://minispares.com/Product.aspx?ty=p ... 463&title= |
