Fixed my timing cover seals and refitted the radiator, and must have damaged it... Yay new Radiator time! ![]() Any tips on refitting, Read a lot of different ideas, what have you guys found that works easy?? |

I would get yours recored. They are a better rad than most of the UK ones, including the 2 core. Don't be tempted to buy the cheap UK 3 core, compared to an Oz 3 core it is rubbish. If you want to know why, PM me. ![]() |

Doc, Any suggestions on who to do the recore job. The old radiator is just not keeping the car cool. Thought about the alloy ones but heard they need an electric fan to keep cool. Car only runs about 6 minutes before overheating. New thermostat 82 deg, removed it put in four holes. It opened ok in being heated in a saucepan well before boiling point. After thermostat replaced it ran for 8 minutes. Radiator has had cleaner and reversed flished twice. Needs recore or replace. |

This costs $60-$90 depending where you are. Remove tanks Acid dip rod out cores resolder tanks on pressure test paint. Cheap really.. If it does need a recore they will quote you. Or take another Oz rad, and swap the cores. |
