I assume no one has gone mad and is selling a red cooper s on gumtree for the bargain price of $4990. I can just pay by escrow and its mine. Now where is my wallet?

Its that scam again. I don't know how it works but there was a Moke in WA with exactly the same sort of deal. The price was way too good to be true, and it was a Portuguese one that they'd lifted the photo from the internet somewhere.

I reported it to gumtree and they took it down immediately, no questions asked.

Gumtree have no buyer protection. They say it is only to facilitate local, face to face buying/selling. I learnt my lesson the hard way....

A scam this may be but theres a red cooper being Advertised on gumtree in the southern river area in wa . and interestingly enough on google maps, satellite there seems to be a red "small vehicle, could be anything" tucked behind a fence next to the house.

Also 5k. Beware of the Internet, spy on your potential purchases! Especially beware anyone who doesnt offer inspections or addresses (especially in these days of video calling)

Well I would sell one of mine for $4990. Into the bargain, pay me xxxxmillion for my house and take on all future financial obligations for my 4 kids. Hell, I would sell both

Hi Guys,

With the lastest internet 'car buying' scams my advice as a licenced motor dealer is watch out for the 'too good to be true' deals. Most often in these situations the eager car buyer loses their common sense chasing the fraud seller and often throw their money on written-off, encumbered or non existant vehicles.

This happens very regularly so be careful to keep your head.

I emailed then got a reply. They are in the UK. I politely advised them they are a scamming $%&@. They didn't reply. How rude.
