hey all just wanted to know about these heads ..

have done the google search but come up with not much at all

i know they are cast iron why did they do such a thing ...

Now i wouldnt go looking to buy one but i have found a car for sale that already has one ...

are they any good or did they crack and have problems ..

do they flow ok or does it just look good when you open the bonnet ..

Thanks
Beanie

If the car you have found with one fitted is a silver LS in Qld then I think you will find it is an alloy head.

The Minisport 7 port are the latest incarnation of the AKM 7 port head, which originated in Denmark. They were iron too. There's nothing wrong with a good bit of Detroit Wonder Metal, IMO..

see http://forum.minicooper.org/showthread.php?t=10114 for a bit more AKM info.
