Can someone please let me know what the oil filter problem was that was discussed on this Forum some time ago. I think Doc had some ideas about the "white ones".
Sorry I can't seem to find the relevant Thread.

Having some issues with possible low oil pressure after an oil/filter change (no not the Mini).

The one I won't buy is Fram, this vid and the other links on the page is why....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kX0xrqvlsNI

As for Ryco, these, the Cooper filters and many others sold here now they all come from China- so why pay more for a Ryco...

I buy Wix filters from Karcraft now, if you buy a dozen they are cheaper.
Better than a Fram.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNDpzyu0 ... re=related

Yeah that's an old filter thread, but there was another or more that's more recent.
I reckon these days Wix are great, they are not made in China either-
parent company is American but their Mini ones are made in Poland.
At $5 or so if you buy in quantity, why pay $11+ for a Ryco...

Thanks for all your responses. All good info.
I am wondering though if anyone has had any oil pressure/delivery problems with Ryco brand oil filters?

I understand that some Toyota owners are happy with the new motors that Ryco paid for.

Nope, if you have a canister (it's an auto, right?) just buy the regular filters from Karcraft.
GP236/1 suits the MiniMatic, their price is under $10.
Change the oil often and the filter too. Like, 2,000 miles max.

Spin-on filters are not available for these automatics, they won't stand the oil pressure in the box's hydraulic system.
People in the US and Japan have tried...

I think Karcraft's `matic filters are Coopers, according to my current cattledog.
I would trust them more than current (Chinese) Ryco filters.

I checked the Wix site and they note 51374 as the part number
