Can any one tell me what year this engine is to the nearest date please 8am/u/h 337199... my reconing is around late sixty two maybe. Trying to get a specific date line for it ...If anyone can help, or somewhere i can find out without paying money to find out i would be much obliged

Probably more likely mid-63 but hard to say without access to an 850 register list (do a search, theres one on here), think they went to 8Y motors late 63/early 64. cheers, |

I am thinking mid to late 62. I have no proof, it is just the vibe. I guess it would have come from a car number near 15000. Engine 8AM/U/H 31425* was fitted to car number 1288* Engine 8AM/U/H 34342* was fitted to car number 1738* |

I am putting together a table of changes within Mini production and would appreciate any info you may have relating to the three cars listed in this subject. If you could provide me with the car number ie YKA2S1 ????? data it would be most appreciated. At no stage will the data be used in any form that will infringe upon the privacy of the owner. |
