Post subject:  How to remove a wiper motor?

So, I have pulled the 3 bolts out of the back of it, that go into the cabin

And undone the huffin big nut that goes around the cable drive, now what?

Does the cable pull out, or do I have to unhook it from the wiper arms?

Thanks in advance

The cable pulls out after you remove the wiper arms.

I like to turn the spindles half a turn so that the cable is running on the other (unworn) side of the spindle.

Clean off all the old grease and apply fresh stuff before refitting.

Remove all wiring, remove wiper arms, nuts and rubber buffer thing on top, remove screws holding motor to body.

From there, there are two ways to get it out, easy and hard.
The easy way is for 850s and rovers, it just drops out.
The hard way is for late deluxes and clubbies, it has to be kind of rolled out.
If you can loosen the nuts on the wheelboxes it helps.

EDIT, sorry, thats how to remove the assembly, don't go that far if you just want the motor.

if you want to just remove the motor & leave the rack & wheel-boxes there

then take the plate screws out & remove the crank lever,,,easy peasy

that leaves the rack there & the motor is now free
