What's the difference between the two options? 1275-094 Pistons and cast ring set (Hypatec) 1275-094 Pistons and chrome top ring set (Hypatec) Their both the same price so I don't know what the deal is? Through mini sport SA http://www.minisport.com.au/category5_2.htm |

Chrome (top) rings are better for a road motor- it is well known that they last longer. But plain iron rings bed in quicker. I hedged my bets- the 1360 has the Hastings chrome rings and the 1412 stroker has Nippon plain iron ones. ![]() |

Yes. But they are both only standard rings, not the real fancy moly filled yada yada you can get with V8 pistons. |
