Just giving the car a quick tune-up to get rid of slight stumbling at low revs which is better but not gone after rebuilding carbs. All looks good - pistons are working and aligned.

Tried setting with "lifting the piston dampers with lifting pin" method and got the revs to rise slightly then drop back to normal on both carbs...BUT is really now too rich. Chucked on the Gunson Colourtune and all orange - confirming too rich.

What would cause this difference? (twin SU 1 1/4")

Go with Gunsons and bugger the pistons?

Thanks in advance!

I just set the mixture for smooth idle, and road tested - pretty much got rid of the low rev stumbling. Checked plugs after - pretty good - checked with Gunsons and both carbies blue with slight orange tinge with aircleaner on, running temp as normal and good, so will leave it at that.......
