A customer I meet through work has this rotting/rusting under his house.....back in it's glory days:

It is shortened mini, doors cut out and the car rejoined, 7'6"long, 240lb lighter than a normal mini with a 1275cc motor, top speed just over 100mph. Trailer made from 2 rear ends joined. Font of trailer same as back. Used everyday, even toured around the North Island of New Zealand.

Cheers

I drove a shortened Holden ONCE. It was the most frightening thing I have ever driven. You only needed to breathe and it changed direction. I reckon the Mini is parked for a good reason, it would be bloody horrible to drive.

Buy the whole thing. It should have discs on it if it has a 1275 motor. Chuck away what is no good and keep the 1275 stuff.

Maybe in UnZud.. but I doubt you would get a shorty engineered for the road here in NSW now.
There was one in Parramatta NSW, but not registered- Allans Motors used it to push & drag dead Morris Minors around their shop. Note the front (& rear) towbars...

I had a shortened Minx for a while....

Started out as a rusted-as minx, an oxy-set, a couple of afternoons and a LOT of beer ......

Pics...

Image

Shorty, roofless, doorless, exhaust-less, brainless....
but a HELL of a lot of paddock-bashing fun....

Took it to 'nats one year too... THAT was fun!
