Post subject:  Nooks and Crannies
Well my interior floor is looking cleaner than ever....But there is still a little way to go.

My problem is despite the excellent work of the twsited knot wire brush on the grinder, there are those hard to reach places which are becoming increasingly more furstrating.

Can you buy something simlar to fit say a drill, or does anyone else have a recommendation for removing tar based sealant from those hard to reach places?

a rag
and a bottle of petrol

how small is your wire wheel? my smallest one is about 40mm diameter

i had the great joyful job of doing the floors both inside and out of my 55 chev and after 7 cup knotted wire brushes on a 5inch grinder and various smaller ones on a drill for smaller pieces found a scraper and heat gun about the best(also dirtiest)glad to finish that job!!

Good ideas- small brushes fit a drill- Gafmo buys them by the bucket load.
You can also get a twistknot cup type wheel for the angle grinder, they will get into a bit smaller spots than the flat 4" one you have now. :wink:

Yep you can also get Goldy colour ones which are a ;ott;e small and also pencil one' that fit in drills...They are not as sting but work well.

Just make sure you use Safty glass's and which out when you sit on one of the wires :wink: :roll: :twisted:

I had the same problem on EVIL... got a pack of wire brushes for the drill from auto1.. think there was 6 different sizes in there..

the 'rol on a rag works well too
you leave a dark copper brown oxidation layer on the steel that i guess protects it

I think the small drill brush will be the best bet....

I cant wait till this damn floor is done :evil:

Gafmo's brushes look clean- that's because they flung all the crud off the car, onto HIM! :P
He looked like someone out of the Black & White Minstrel Show after doing Marcia.. (not that there's anything wrong with that...!) :lol:
