I got mine from a seller on eBay. Haven't used them yet so can't report how good they are. About $12 each from memory. Cheers, Dicko. |

I got one like a mini hole-saw with a spring-loaded centre. It works OK, but it's very easy to chip a tooth off which makes it real hard to control. It likes to grab and goes off-centre, you really need a small hole rather then a centre punch to keep it on centre. Lately I have just been using a drill bit, about 8mm, sharpened with a really shallow point angle so it doesn't penetrate through the second panel. Heaps quicker and easier and lasts much longer. Then you just re-sharpen when you need to. Cheaper too. Madmorrie |

Thanks Guys, I've had trouble deciding between the two. I might have a crack with the shallow drillbit type. Ian |

Madmorrie I normally sharpen one up also, similar to a sheet metal drill. You can also have a range of drill sizes then too. If you know a toolmaker or someone good at sharpening drills maybe they can sharpen for you? |

IAN. There are several methods as aove, which are excelent if you need to save the panel. If your going to replace the panel with new, then I find its fairly easy to grab a small grinder, and with the tip of the wheel, I grind into the "spot". The top sheet (around the spot) sits up about 1/2 mm and this weakens it enough to rock n roll off. As I said, its quick but destroys the old panel. Alex. |
