Hi all, Anybody ever had anything to do with these. I need pipes made but this seems a cheap option, wonder how it would handle pressure. I think hydrolastic system is only supposed to get pumped to 260psi ish? Really I could go get some of this copper roll and make some of these myself as Doc suggested used fittings of old ones that are no good. |

I am curious too on how these will go anyone tried these versions? I'd like to overhaul my 43 year old tubes and the original versions don't look like they'd make it from the UK safely |

I think the nylon lines would be OK, in one of my previous lives in the late 60s I worked on Formula Vees. Many of these ran 1/8" `nylon 11' tubing as hydraulic brake line, all the way from the MC to the wheel cylinders. This line was rated to 2500psi, but of course it was small diameter. The Minispares pipe you show would be much lower rated. When I do the Clubby van next year to hydro it will either get steel pipes as original hydro cars (but longer), or else I'll run hydraulic hose the full length. If you want steel pipes, I believe Mini King can get them made. |

The nylon pipes would handle the pressure, I know some 1100 people have used it in the past without any problems. If you want the specs look up Parker Parflex nylon. It should be available locally from Enzed What is wrong with getting steel bundy tubing though? It should be easy enough to get. The pipe should be available locally. It is used on hydraulics on machinery. |

Just keep the original UNF flare fittings as Pirtek may not have them (no I've not checked but I've heard this in the past). |

For DrMini Kevin Some time back I was talking with you (on here) about converting a van into hydro and you mentioned the rear subby needed some conversion work to fit. You said we could come to agreement on this conversion. I plan to start on this late jan or feb - is the offer still open ??? Mike |

Hi John, no offence intended - I think it was the first time I visited your place and on an open day, I had a shopping list for my newly on the road Miniand the place was very busy. I asked about the hyrdo lines and the answer was vague from memory so assumed the answer was no if you can get em, I'll be looking into this in the new year for sure for my 68 Mini Matic cheers again |

J844 nylon airbrake hose. This is used to supply the air for both the braking systems on semi trailers and also their airbag suspension systems. I reckon that if they can bounce around 20 ton monsters, then a mini will be fine. Only question I dont know is, how does the nylon go with hydro fluid? |
