Ey guy, is there a way to remove the strips that go around the top of the door without damaging it? I have attempted taking one off one of my damaged doors and it didnt go well. Thanks Matt. |

Hit the top lip of the mould from the inside using a rubber mallet you can also use a block of wood and a hammer |

They are a pain to get off, you'll probably scratch some paint on the door hoop but just be firm with them and work your way around. |

They are a pain to get back on too, without scratching the paint off. The only reason I took one off during the rebuild last year was my spare (original) LH door going back on was missing one from last time! ![]() |

I only need to do one door because i am doing a colour change with it, the other door is already yellow so i can mask that bit up. How did they put it on at the factory? |

trick to get back on it to use a bit of grease, press bottom over door then roll top over and then block of wood and mallet and tap lightly in the indentation, start from back corner work to each end took me 4 mins a side |

I use some timber, 2x1 pine, and support the door frame so it is solid before hitting/tapping the strip off with a couple of firm taps of the timber with a hammer |
