Has anyone got any info on this guy?
The plate was found in junk on Bruny Island down in Tassie.

Any info is appreciated.

Nothing on google (I'm sure you tried that already). Are the plate holes the position of an engine number plate, is that where it may have been attached? Very interesting.

Umm, don't want to disappoint, but who says it has anything to do with our beloved cars?

It could be any number of "MINI SPECIAL" things like doll houses or trailers or candles or furniture or...... :?

On the bright side it could have been one of the motorkana home built specials that were fairly common towards the late sixties and early seventies.

Mostly they are long gone now but they did exist.

It could belong to his (now deceased from unknown causes) wife's wooden 'toy' he carved for her on his lathe powered by steam, which was housed in a custom made felt lined asbestos box.

The name John Pulfer comes up as a pioneer of the timber and sawmilling industry in Tasmania , I,m sure a museum would be interested
