There is a voltage stabilizer can on the back of the cluster which reduces the battery's 12V to a regulated 10V for the 2 gauges.
You have bypassed it, somehow.. and they are getting 12V

playing around with the cluster in my clubby, put her back together and for somereason the fuel gauge is reading as high up as it can go and the temp gauge is also reading right to the top? any ideas? cheers jordy. |
