The 850 is seeping out the plug above the clutch bell housing. Will a stop leak fix this ya reckon? How are welsh plugs installed/sealed? Can they be replaced without stripping motor down.

All 4 welch plugs on an 850 can be easily done in the car. They are all the `lens' type. IMO brass ones are best if you can find them.

1. Drain the water
2. Drive a flat screwdriver through the middle of the plug
3. Lever the screwdriver sideways to remove the plug
4. Scrape the recess clean, particularly in the corner
5. Apply some gasket sealer to the recess and fit the new plug
6. Use a hammer and dolly to `almost' flatten the plug. This spreads the diameter and makes it seal.
